Loggerhead Apparel--Preppy with a Purpose

Whenever I go shopping, I try to ensure my purchase(s) meet at least one of the following criteria: it's local, from a small business, and/or is made in the US of A. Fortunately, there are lots of pretty things to be bought in the Panhandle region; however, there are still some things that cannot be found at our local brick and mortars (yet).

That being said, I'd like to share my latest online find, Loggerhead Apparel, which meets those last two requirements and then some. Launched in 2009 by a couple of South Carolina natives with some serious state pride and a yearning to protect two of South Carolina's precious resources: Loggerhead Turtles and the textile industry. All Loggerhead Apparel is made with 100% American-grown cotton in South Carolina and 10% of all revenue goes to help the Loggerhead Sea Turtles.

There's a lot to love about the Bellwether Polos (besides their backstory), including the cotton texture, the cut, and the colors are quite nice--there's even a Pretty in the Panhandle-approved pink!

So remember how I said they're not at any local brick and mortars YET?
Let's just say that soon you'll see that cute little Loggerhead logo Springing up all over Virginia. Until then, Loggerhead Apparel is available for purchase via the interwebs at http://www.loggerheadapparel.com/ and check back for details, because one lucky reader might be getting an early Christmas present!
